Reddit / Devvit app — terms of service

These terms govern your use of the Spectarama Reddit app (“the App”), a Reddit Devvit application that republishes curated Spectarama artwork to the r/Spectarama subreddit. By installing or interacting with the App you agree to the following.

1. Service description

The App is an internal moderation tool. When a moderator of r/Spectarama explicitly clicks the App’s menu action, the App reads a queue of pending image posts from spectarama.com and publishes each as a native Reddit image post in r/Spectarama, on behalf of the App’s service account. The App takes no autonomous action — every post is the result of an explicit moderator click.

2. Eligible users

The App’s menu actions are restricted to moderators of the subreddit on which the App is installed (via forUserType: moderator in the App’s Devvit configuration). Non-moderators do not see the App’s controls and cannot trigger any data flow.

3. Acceptable use

The App is intended solely for the propagation of artwork owned, licensed, or curated by the Spectarama operators to the r/Spectarama subreddit and subreddit(s) the App is later installed on by the same operators. Use of the App by any party other than the Spectarama operators is not authorized.

4. Reddit’s terms still apply

Your use of the App is also subject to Reddit’s User Agreement, Content Policy, and Devvit App Developer Terms. Where any conflict exists between these terms and Reddit’s, Reddit’s terms govern.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Spectarama makes no representations about the availability, accuracy, or reliability of the App.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spectarama is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

7. Modification and termination

Spectarama may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. Moderators may remove the App from a subreddit at any time; doing so terminates all data flow immediately.

8. Changes to these terms

Spectarama may update these terms; material changes will be posted to this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
